JACOB PADEN,
OWNER OF STONE & BRANCH LANDSCAPE DESIGNS

Rose Blossom

WHO IS THE OWNER OF
STONE & BRANCH LANDSCAPE
DESIGNS?

Jacob Paden founded Stone & Branch Landscape Designs in 2020. He was born and raised in northern Colorado before moving to Louisville, Kentucky in 2012. He has over 20 years of experience landscaping and hardscaping, which includes designing and building beautiful gardens, garden walls, retaining walls, walkways, patios, firepits, fences, fountains, small ponds, and more. He has had direct training and supervision early in his career from the owners of a number of different landscape companies in both Colorado and Kentucky. This has helped Jacob to learn how to solve any outdoor problems that his clients face with their outdoor spaces. Jacob has proven throughout his decades of landscaping and hardscaping that he can solve the needs of his clients and allow them to feel happy and satisfied with his finished work.

Jacob does not like to choose the easy or quick option when helping his clients solve their outdoor problems or needs. He prefers to create solid, lasting, and effectual outdoor spaces that stand the test of time. For example, when fencing a client’s property, he will always choose quality materials, including using screws over nails, which prevents issues years later. Jacob does not want his clients to only be happy in the moment but for the years to come as well.

Jacob can design and create gardens that are simple and easy to maintain for his clients who prefer a simple landscape. However, he can also develop gardens that are more advanced, including Japanese gardens, English countryside gardens, and landscapes full of wildflowers. His goal is to meet his clients’ needs every time and help them love their outdoor space. Jacob also has experience building paver patios and walkways. He can also build patios and pathways made of creek stone, blue stone, and even bricks. On several occasions, he has even reused materials that his clients want to keep, including old-fashioned bricks to maintain the character of the property. Jacob has the ability to create retaining walls and patios that can prevent water from pooling around the home or gardens too. When homes sit on steep slopes, having a patio sitting atop a retaining wall can allow the outdoor space to be practical and attractive.

Jacob has kept relationships with the owners of different nurseries and other companies, which allows him to get the best prices for his clients. He tries to be flexible when he can meet with possible clients who are interested in a free quote. He will meet at the property of the client and together they will discuss the client’s vision, ideas, and how to move forward. From there, Jacob will create a free quote for the individual and at times, a free 3D design as well to help picture what to expect. He responds to clients quickly and provides them with their free quote within a short period of time.

Jacob wants you to enjoy your time outside during every season. He is able to choose plants that will bloom or have color in the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. For clients who want a pop of color year around, he can make it happen. However, if you prefer evergreens and easy plants to maintain, this can be done as well. Wintertime in Kentucky is not always enjoyable but with a firepit around a comfortable patio, you can even enjoy being outside in colder weather.

Jacob is a husband and father of 4 children. He loves spending time with his family. He has begun to teach his oldest son the tricks of the trade on how to care for and maintain a variety of landscapes and hardscapes. Jacob and his family enjoy hiking, fishing, and being outdoors together.
